Having read all the problems people have experienced in upgrading to Windows 8 from 7, or when getting the 8.1 upgrade, I am wondering if it is worth risking upgrading from 7 to 10 and losing the ability to run Acrobat 7. It's an old program but it works fine on Windows 7. Has anyone else upgraded from 7 to 10 with this or an older version of Adobe Acrobat, and did it still work? I have always resisted upgrades in the past, only reluctantly moving from XP to 7 after avoiding the 'dogs' in between. Then when on Windows 7, I resisted upgrading to 8 or 8.1 because they too were 'dogs'. If Adobe decides that it's not going to update Acrobat 7 for Windows 10, there isn't anything Microsoft can do about it. You can try to install Acrobat 7 in Windows 10 in compatibility mode, but honestly, why risk messing up your software when the latest version of Acrobat is free and works with Windows 10?
Something else to consider: Acrobat is a prime target for hackers and you are considering an old version of Acrobat which is considerably less protected than the newest version. As for 'all the problems people have experienced in upgrading' - that's because they don't know how to upgrade correctly. Don't think it's easy. Upgrading an operating system requires a lot of technical knowledge. The fact is, millions of people all over the world have upgraded to Windows 10 without trouble. ___________________________________________________ Just a regular guy, with no fancy titles or boasts.
