Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ is a comedy and romance visual novel in which the player assumes the character of Haruka Nanami. Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ follows a branching plot line with multiple endings; depending on the decisions that the player makes during the game, the plot will progress in a specific direction. The six members of ST☆RISH, who have made their shocking idol debut, and Nanami Haruka, who has just begun her career as a composer, have advanced to Saotome Academy's master course.

The second season of the anime series, Uta no Prince-sama: Maji Love 2000% ( うたの☆プリンスさまっ♪マジLOVE2000％), finished airing in Japan on June 27, 2013. A third season aired from April 5, 2015, and under the name Uta no Prince sama: Maji Love Revolutions. During the entrance exam, she was late due to helping a little girl who was lost on the way to the exam venue, Saotome Academy. However, she was allowed to take the exam despite being late because of two people, Otoya Ittoki and Jinguji Ren. She passed the exam and was roomies with a person she met during the exam, Tomochika Shibuya. After meeting her teacher and other people from her class, she met others from the S Class. Tomo-chan and Haruka were unpacking when Haruka's handkerchief was stolen by a cat.

She found someone resembling Hayato-sama while chasing the cat but found out he was Hayato's twin brother, Ichinose Tokiya. 02 'Brand New Melody' July 10, 2011 ( 2011-07-10) All classes in Saotome Academy were assigned a project, to compose a new song with a partner; however, there is a twist: the idol group have to write the lyrics and the songwriter group have to write the music. Ringo Tsukimiya, Haruka's teacher, randomly chose the pairs for now. Haruka was partnered with Otoya Ittoki.

Her teacher then asks her to play the most popular song from the previous year on the piano. However, Haruka could not read music and thus the students start spreading rumours. Otoya then comforts her and motivates her to study music. While she was doing that, Otoya had trouble writing lyrics and asked Tokiya for advice.

As he didn't understand, he asked Syo, Natsuki, Ren and Masato for help. Neither succeeded on how to proceed. Haruka then hums a melody she thought of at the lake in the middle of the night where Otoya heard her and came up with lyrics on the spot.

The two then progressed fast and their song was successful. 03 'Knocking on the Mind' July 17, 2011 ( 2011-07-17) Both Haruka and Otoya passed the project, but now Haruka has to deal with the bullying from her classmates because they suspect that she cheated. When she is asked to play the piano again in front of the class, the comments finally get to her and she freezes up once again, making the situation worse. And she did but ended up meeting Natsuki Shinomiya with a different personality. Haruka, Natsuki, and Syo all went to Hayato's concert.
